I graduated Yamanashi University. The ceremony was boring. I have nothing to do. After that, my younger friends in my lab gave graduation party for us. It was so fun. I got a special mouse pad. This photo is that. My professor gave advice for us. Graduation students also had speeches for our professor and younger friends. I also told them something with my gratitude. I deeply appreciate them. I was able to live a full school life. Especially in graduate school I was able to do many things, of course study, too.
I always studied this place. the green thing on my desk is my bedroll. I used it so many times.
This photo is when Minakuchi teacher, my professor, gave a party in his garden the other day. The woman next to him is his wife. she is so friendly that she remembers our name and calls our name and orders us to do something to prepare for BBQ.I heard a good news. It was that probably 1/2 of my student loan may be free. Thanks to my professor, It seems to be possible. When I was talking about that with him, his wife said to me, "Shizuo should pay all of it because you used it for your trips like Kenya and Vietnam"
She knew everything of us.
This photo is Paul, my English teacher and me. I went to his school to say thank you yesterday. Thanks to him, my experience was so bigger than before. I will catch up with him. I heard good news. It was that his baby is going to be born September and today he leave for Vietnam. He is going to stay there for a week and attend Matthew’s wedding party and then he is going to go to his Australian home. He seems to take a longer vacation than students.Matthew is Paul’s friend. He was working in Japan a few years ago and he is working in Hanoi, Vietnam. Now I also know him because I accidentally met him in certain a bar in Hanoi. It was so crazy and miracle! He was sitting the bar counter and Mountain man and Aoki and I was sitting the inner table and we were drinking. I wanted next liqueur so I went to the counter and was ordering next one.
Then he asked me “Where are you from?”
I said, “I’m from Japan.”
He said, ”Konnichiwa.” (Japanese Hello)
I said, “Have you ever been to Japan?”
He said, “Yes, I was working in Yamanashi”
I was surprised and I said, “Do you know Paul?”
He said, “Yes, but which Paul?”
I said, “He is my English teacher. His school name is ‘People’.”
He said, “Oh, no… How crazy! You are Paul’s student?”
Then we sit around a small table and drinking and talking together. He also know Mountain man.
Actually, Paul didn’t seem to know Mountain man address when I told him that I wanted to travel with a motorbike. So Paul seemed to ask Matthew, who lives in Hanoi and knows about Mountain man well. Then I was able to know his address and do this trip. The world is so small, I thought.
Matthew is working in a company in Hanoi. He arranges and manages new buildings and companies in Vietnam. He will give his wedding party next Wednesday. Congratulation!
I don’t know about my company well. I have expectation and anxiety in my future. Can I make good friends? Can I work to full up for needs of my company? Anyway, I will just do my best! So everything will maybe go well, I want to think so.
Now I’m free but I have something to do. I have to fix my motorbikes and another computer because I left them broken. Spring is coming so it will be good soon for riding my motorbike.

It is nice to read about your graduation and hear how happy you are to be finished and ready to move on to your future profession. It is a happy time to be graduated after all the hard work you've done for the past few years. I can't believe you lived in that small area with only your sleeping bag for a bed. I wonder why it is so neat when your space at Earthwatch was so crowded with everything laying around everywhere. The graduation ceremony is supposed to be boring I guess. Were your parents there? It must be very difficult to leave your good friends too. Your teacher sounds like a very nice man. I liked the photo of Paul and your story about running into his friend in Hanoi. That was a strange coincidence. It is also great that you may get most of your student loans forgiven. Now you can buy a nice car and you will need lots of things to keep you busy besides work. It is exciting to see what will happen you to next. Congratulations@

I'm sure you will do very well at your new job. And I'm sure you will have fun making new friends..might even be some cute girls working there!
Since you don't have to study at night, you have time to work on your dating skills!
Have fun until your job starts.
